Overview of the RBI Assistant Exam
The Reserve Bank of India administers a competitive examination for assistant positions across its branches nationwide. This assessment comprises three stages: preliminaries, mains, and a language proficiency test.
Annually, the RBI issues an official notification detailing the available vacancies. Selection for these positions is determined through competitive exams conducted countrywide in two phases. The initial phase involves a Preliminary examination, the Mains examination, and a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
The most important aspect of the RBI Assistant Exam is that after clearing the Mains Exam, you must appear for the Language Proficiency Test (LPT). This test mainly checks your knowledge of communication skills in a regional language.

Eligibility For The RBI Assistant Exam
If you want to appear for the RBI Assistant Exam, you must fit in the age requirement and meet the educational qualification requirements.
Age Criteria for the RBI Assistant Exam:
You are eligible for the RBI Assistant Exam if you are between 20 and 28 years of age. This means you should be born earlier than 02/02/1994 and not later than 01/02/2002 (both days including).

Educational Qualification Criteria
Applicants interested in applying for the RBI Assistant position in 2023 must possess a bachelor’s degree with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. Proficiency in computer knowledge is required, along with fluency in the languages specified for respective states.
Note: SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempt from the requirement of a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (only passing class required for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
