Exam Pattern For IBPS PO Exam

Preliminary Exam

This is an online objective test of 100 questions, with 30 questions each for Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, and English Language. The time limit is 60 minutes, with 20 minutes allotted for each section.

Mains Exam

Candidates who qualify for the preliminary exam will be eligible for the main exam. This is also an online test, but it consists of both objective and descriptive questions. The objective part has 200 questions, with 50 questions each for Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, General/ Economy/ Banking Awareness, English Language, and Data Analysis & Interpretation. The time limit is 180 minutes, with 45 minutes allotted for each section. The descriptive part consists of two writing tasks: an essay and a letter writing. The time limit is 30 minutes.

IBPS PO Eligibility

Before you apply for the IBPS PO Exam, it is neces

sary to know in detail whether you are eligible to appear for the exams.

You are eligible for the IBPS PO Exam if you fulfill the following criteria:

  1. A Citizen of India
  2. The subject of Nepal or Bhutan

  3. A Tibetan refugee who permanently settled in India before January 1, 1962.

  4. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Kenya, Malawi, Tanzania, Zaire, or Zambia, intending to reside in India permanently.
  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam intending to permanently settle in India,
  6. provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India

IBPS PO Age Limit and Relaxation
